I aim to go to as many hackathons as I can – they’re an awesome way of trying out new tech and meeting new people with similar interests! A selection of my submitted projects are on my Devpost profile. Here’s a definitive list of what I’ve been up to.

Night-time volunteer for the organising team. Ensured safety of venue and participants as well as general cleaning up and helping people with Javascript problems.

IC Hack 18

Worked on the Scrapbook offline bookmark manager, built a basic Chrome extension as well as a connected electron app for managing the store.

Hackference 2017

Got a rare opportunity to take part in the “last” Hackference. Worked on my Hatch hackathon portal.

Hack The North 2017

Location: Waterloo, Canada

Second visit to Waterloo for Hack The North. Unsuccessfully tried to build an app that can read car parking signs. Made new friends regardless :grin:

Anvil Hack III

MLH Prime Europe Regional

Night shift volunteer for MLH’s own hackathon. Duties mainly included running the hardware lab and assisting hackers with issues they had over the course of the night.

HackCity 2017

Night shift volunteer for the first hackathon at City, University Of London. Duties included distributing food and collecting waste, as well as some ghntoring.

HackUPC Winter 2017

Created an Alexa skill for controlling your browser, Chromelexa.

IC Hack 17

Behind-the-scenes volunteer who assisted with checkin, crowd control, and hacker quality of life (distributing food was a big part of this!) :pizza:

Hack Cambridge: Recurse

Built a crowd-based game using Unity and Pusher. Also got to take in the sights of Cambridge (again).

First international hackathon! Met some great new friends and build a silly but fun website that matched GIFs and music.

Hack London III

Built Git++, a plugin for the Atom editor to allow theuser to commit code using hand gestures. We also won the GitHub developer prize!

Hack Cambridge

Location: Cambridge, UK

LingualMingle, a chat app for penpals. Again we did not know very much Node.JS and left with more knowledge than code.
